P.S for Information Bitange Ndemo visits Kuona as part of the Creatives Mapping Project by IBM

Since the removal of art from the public school’s curriculum, most of us had thought that there was no hope for art in Kenya. Well there is promise of a brighter future. We got a visit from the P.S for information Hon. Bitange Ndemo and a group of dignitaries from the multi national technology company  IBM  last week in a project that aims at mapping all the creative centres in Kenya. They had an interactive session with the artists on how best to market Kenyan art and promote its appreciation to the general public.Needless to say they got the chance to view the works of some of the most talented contemporary artists in Kenya based at Kuona Trust.

It seems that appreciation for the arts and culture is steadily picking up. You should definitely watch this space.
