Kevin Oduor:The artist behind the masterpiece at the Syokimau Railway Station

If you have taken a look at the Standard Newspaper today,October 25th 2012, page 35 shows the contractor  behind the landmark Syokimau Railway Station, Yussuf Lodge. Though the station is complete it is yet to be unveiled to the general public the station and comes with state of the art waiting lounges,restaurants, public waste conveniences, lifts and escalators.

What they didn’t tell you however was that behind the closed gates lies a magnificent sculpture of the prophet Syokimau who foretold the coming of a metal snake-the train.The artist behind this masterpiece is none other than Kevin Oduor. He is also credit  for several other monuments including the Dedan Kimathi statue in the heart of the Nairobi Central Business District and the Wanjiku sculpture at the high court.
